  •  try phenobarbital a 15 mg/kg iv at 100 mg/min

Why?

  • It terminates more seizures than diazepam and phenytoin
  • It works faster than diazepam and phenytoin (on average 4 minutes faster) a
  • The effect on subsequent intubations or need for a general anaesthetic is unclear.
