• 4% to 8% die within 12 months ^a
• One in thirty who survive 6 weeks will die in the next 6 months. (3.1%: 95% CI: 3.5% to 4.3%) ^b
• 15% die from heart disease within 2 years ^b and over 60% die within 10 years (95% CI: 58% to 68%). ^b
