Note:

  • 0.5% of patients with Crohn's disease develop cancer (95% CI: 0.0% to 1.6%) over 10 years b
  •  0.3% of patients with ulcerative colitis develop colorectal cancer a year (95% CI: 0.2% to 0.4%). b
  • 12% of patients with ulcerative colitis have cancer or dyplasia on initial surveillance colonoscopy (95% CI: 10% to 15%) b
