Why?

• Cardiac adverse events are common (13%: 95% CI: 11% to 16%) - particularly bradyarrhythmias, (8%: 95% CI: 6% to 10%) though symptomatic bradyarrhythmias, ventricular arrhythmias and cardiac emboli are rare. ^c
• Starting anti-arrhythmic medication in hospital is more cost-effective than in outpatient clinic ^a
