Avoid using abciximab. a

Why?

  • Abciximab increases death within 48 hours, major bleeding and thrombocytopenia in acute coronary syndrome (ST depression or a positive troponin), without clearly reducing death, myocardial infarction or the need for revascularisation within 30 days. a
