Critically ill

There is no clear benefit from prophylactic dopamine a  (low-dose: 1 - 3 µg/kg/min)

Why?

  • It has no effect on peak creatnine levels or urine output in critically-ill patients with early renal dysfunction. a 
  • There is no clear difference in the need for renal replacement therapy, death or arrhythmias. a
