Why?

  • Babies exposed to low-dose radiation in utero are probably slightly more likely to develop cancer (in 11 retrospective case-control and cohort studies, the relative risk ranged from 1.2 to 1.7. Assuming a cancer rate of 0.1% in neonates, NNH = 5000. The teratogenic risks are probably even smaller.) b
